Where we are

Podere Casenove agritourism farm is located in Via della Fonte n. 14 in the municipality of Casenuove in the Fighille section of the Municipality of Citerna. We are in the Alta Valle del Tevere Umbra in the green province of Perugia bordering the Municipality of Sansepolcro in Tuscany.

Citerna

The Municipality of Citerna is located in the province of Perugia in the center of the Valtiberina.

The territory of Citerna consists primarily of agricultural land (on which the economy of the area is based) and by forest-covered hills.

Citerna is considered the "terrace" of Valle del Tevere; from here, in fact, a single glance takes in the entire valley ploughed by the river Tevere, which begins from Città di Castello and extends until reaching Sansepolcro.

Thanks to its beauty and its admirable panorama, Citerna is one of the "One of the most beautiful cities of Italy".

The monuments that can be admired in this medieval hamlet are: the Rocca (a recently restored fort of Longobardian origin), the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, (with a magnificent Madonna with Child preserved inside), the Church of Saint Frances (probably built in memory of the passage of St. Frances of Assisi in Citerna) and Palazzo Prosperi with its Medieval covered walkway (also called "lover's lane" and site of interesting little displays).

    • From Bologna Highway A14, exit Cesena North, take the Superhighway E45 up to Sansepolcro, then take the SS73 to Arezzo, when arriving at San Leo, turn left at the traffic light in the direction of Fighille, at Fighille after Arco turn right following the signs for Agriturismo Podere Casenove; after approximately 600 meters turn left following the signs for Agriturismo Podere Casenove, arriving after 80 meters.
    • From Bologna Highway A1 exit Arezzo, take the SS73 in the direction of Sansepolcro; after a small village called Le Ville resume SS73; after two km turn right in the direction of Fighille; after approximately 3 km turn right, following the signs for for Agriturismo Podere Casenove, arriving after 80 meters.

    • From Rome Highway A1-exit Orte take the highway E45 in the direction of Perugia-Cesena-Ravenna; after 157 km exit to Sansepolcro, take the SS73 for Arezzo, when arriving at San Leo turn left at the traffic light in the direction of Fighille, at Fighille after Arco turn right following the signs for Agriturismo Podere Casenove; after approximately 600 meters turn left following the signs for Agriturismo Podere Casenove, arriving after 80 meters.
